Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Though at first glance Cyrus probably looks as though he'd be pretty frail, this is nowhere near the case; he's tall and incredibly wiry, and given that he climbs mountains and spends a lot of time wandering Sinnoh alone, the man clearly takes care of himself.

2. How old is he?
Twenty-seven years old.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He definitely doesn't slouch - if anything, he has the opposite problem, in that he tends to be a bit too rigid and keep his back a bit too straight, to the point where it's unnatural. He also tends to keep his hands behind his back, ensuring that his shoulders remain squared off and drawn back, and he tends to lock his legs in place when he stands.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Cyrus is pretty fit - again, the man climbs mountains - but he doesn't have any more physical strength than a normal person. He's an insomniac, but otherwise a pretty healthy individual, and his immune system is rather good despite the lack of sleep; at the same time, while he doesn't get sick often, when he does it hits him hard, knocking him completely out of commission for quite a while.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
His motions tend to be very quick and deliberate; he doesn't gesture very much when he talks, and the few times he does the motion is always very brief and abrupt. He's very brisk when he walks, and incredibly no-nonsense when he wants to get somewhere; if you are in his way, he will make you move.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
Cyrus is not attractive. At all. A combination of stress and a lack of sleep has caused him to age badly; as was mentioned above, he's twenty-seven - but most seem to assume that he's pushing forty, at the youngest. During periods of high stress, he looks sick at best and half-dead at worst. He's very aware of how he looks, but at the same time he doesn't seem to care or pay it very much mind. As far as he's concerned, the body is a vessel, nothing more, and he sees no reason for either vanity or self-consciousness.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
His skin tends to have a pallid, almost waxy look to it, regardless of how much time he spends outside; the most notable exception to the paleness would be the darkness underneath his eyes, more or less a permanent thing by now due to the insomnia. He has some scarring, as most people do, but nothing noteworthy; he's taken a few falls on his attempts at finding Spear Pillar and got a bit scratched up a bit along the way. His hands are very rough, though, as a result of many long hours working with mechanical things.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
His hair is a pale blue; it's fairly short, coarse to the touch and rather thick, fluffed up and back into large spikes, and his hairline is straight and rather blunt against his face.

9. What color are his eyes?
Pale blue - around the same color as his hair.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
His browline is heavy and his general bone structure is overly defined, lending his cheeks and eyes a strange, concave look; his eyebrows are also very light and very thin, doing nothing to make his eyes not look sunken in.

11. What are his chief tension centers?
He usually releases tension through his hands, either in the form of clenching his fists or grabbing something convenient, though he's been known to bite down rather hard on nothing when he's frustrated with words.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
He's almost never seen out of his the Team Galactic uniform; he's very fond of neutral colors with one bright spot on them - usually the emblem - for the sake of catching attention without being overly obvious. He's actually not a terribly flashy person, clothing-wise - he seems to leave that to everyone else on the team.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
His clothes fit him quite well and he's very comfortable, thank you very much. The women on Team Galactic are the ones that should be worried about in that regard.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
...'free time'?

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Boxers. Black, not the blue and white...striped...things that fanon seems to favor.

1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
His voice is rather deep, though by no means in the basement - he would be a baritone, not a bass - and though he doesn't have a full-out rasping quality to it, there's a definite grating edge that comes and goes, almost as though he strained his voice severely at one point and never properly recovered.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
Cyrus is usually fairly soft-spoken, the sort of person that you might need to ask to speak up in a crowded room, though he tends to realize this and compensate quickly for the loudness of the room; when he's properly riled he'll start yelling, but it's usually pretty hard to get him to a point where he'll scream at you. He's very deadpan, with a good amount of blunted affect when he speaks.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
He speaks very slowly, and though he isn't exactly hesitant about expressing himself, his speech tends to be halting and a bit repetitive.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
...arguably, he doesn't even speak his first language fluently.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
No, he doesn't.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He always has to think before he speaks, and he can't come up with speeches on the spot. He also can't exactly come up with great speeches when he plans, but they're a little less strange and easier to follow if he goes into a situation prepared. Of course, there are things he can just throw out there automatically - several of his arguments are like this, simply because he's practiced in them - but if it's a new or difficult conversational topic, he tends to have to think for a while before he can answer.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He isn't so much eloquent as he is well-versed in what people want to hear; otherwise, words can get a bit frustrating for him. He tends to use actions to supplement his words, instead of relying on speech alone; if it's a topic he's comfortable with or something he feels strongly about, however, he can talk for quite some time without realizing that he's been rambling.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Cyrus is highly intelligent - book-smart, tests well, a prodigy whose IQ is well over 160, meaning you might as well throw darts at a chart on the wall to pinpoint it - and he has absolutely no common sense whatsoever. He's too smart for his own good and so he's incredibly prone to doing stupid things as a result.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He's definitely more of a plotter than an improviser; though he can improvise if he needs to, he dislikes having to do so and he's a ridiculously poor loser, so he'd rather have everything planned before he does anything.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Cyrus is basically ruled by logic to a fault; he sees people and situations as data, not anything that should be dealt with on an individual basis, and his responses to arguments tend to be rather predictable. He thinks best in terms of cause and effect, and he can't stand spontaneous or nonsensical things; if something deviates from the pattern he expects he's almost immediately lost, and in those situations he tends to get rather frustrated because he can't process what's happening quickly enough to figure out what he should do about it. At the same time, he has a very idealistic view of what he would like the world to be and he's incredibly creative when it comes to the things he builds, so he's not above imagining things; he just believes that idealism and creativity have their place.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
He's completed his higher education, majoring in business with a minor in theology.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
His expertise trends more towards machines, though he's got a good mind for business; even though he knows a fair amount already, he's always interested in reading more about the Sinnoh legends, and he's rather fascinated with time and space, and the interconnection between human beings and the rest of the universe.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
Introverted to a fault; his social skills are pretty much nil.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Cyrus claims to have renounced all emotion, and he tends to suppress his moods; he considers open displays of emotion to be a sign of weakness, and so he tries to maintain an even, blunted affect in all things. Underneath that, however, he's an incredibly angry individual, and when he finally releases some of that rage he has a hard time containing it again.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
He's usually very suspicious when he meets new people, particularly if they don't know him and are sweet right off the bat; he strangely tends to get along better with people who snark or are irritable toward him right away as opposed to those who attempt to be nice - if he can ascertain that they're just a snarky/irritable person and they aren't singling him out, he tends to consider them to be more genuine and he'll trust them a little more than the nice ones.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Act - after all, he figures that no one else will.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
That...would actually depend on the odds. It's a pretty even split, actually.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
His sense of humor is nearly nonexistent, but on the rare occasion that it surfaces it tends to be incredibly dry; he'll be sarcastic once in a while, but his tone is so even and the wit so vague that it's hard to tell if he's truly speaking in jest or if he's saying things in all seriousness. At the same time, if he trusts the person he's with enough, he's not above making a self-deprecating remark once in a while - even if, again, it's something incredibly dry and therefore a bit alarming. However, there is a sense of humor in there somewhere.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Cyrus is officially undiagnosed, but he shows symptoms consistent with disorganized schizophrenia: delusions (including both a god and messiah complex), disrupted speech and thought patterns, anhedonia, echolalia, and social dysfunction being the most prominent. Given that he's both undiagnosed and high-functioning, he...more or less doesn't deal with it.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
His childhood in general, his creation and leadership of Team Galactic, and his defeat at Spear Pillar and in the Distortion World have probably been the moments with the most impact, outside of the events that have taken place in-game.

14. What does he fear?
Having lived a worthless existence - that in the end, he will have accomplished nothing, and his life will have been a waste. This thought frightens him more than anything else in the world. Secondary fears are the idea of his mind deteriorating due to circumstances beyond his control (Alzheimer's, severe mental illness, general old age) and exactly what Arceus is capable of doing to him - he has a very healthy fear of his creator, with good reason.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
Bringing about his new world, primarily.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
...it's trivial in the end, but actually? How bad his memory is. He remembers situations, and he can usually attach faces to personalities, but when it comes to details like names and minute pieces of information, it's almost guaranteed that it's gone as soon as he's told.

1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
...why don't we just say that he hates them, and they're at least partially at fault for his short-term memory being so bad.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
He's an only child.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
He has a massive love/hate relationship with his grandfather. When he was a child, he felt closer to his grandfather than anyone else, and some of those positive feelings have carried over; Cyrus saw his grandfather both as someone he could look up to - they had similar interests, after all, including a mutual fixation on time, space and the legends - and a source of protection, someone he could go to when the situation with his parents escalated. Bluntly put, he loved the hell out of that man; in some ways, he still does.

However, as Cyrus grew up he became disillusioned, and any sense of solace he may have had turned to resentment as he realized that his grandfather had to be aware of what was being done to him - and yet he did nothing to stop it. This incredibly inconsistent treatment (providing protection from the problem, yet knowingly allowing it to continue and trying to ignore any harm it may have been doing) inadvertently ended up shaping an incredibly negative part of Cyrus' philosophy on life - that being the knowledge that no matter how close one might get to another person, nothing is permanent and abandonment in some way, shape or form is inevitable.

...at the same time, there's some deeply buried, sentimental part of him that still exists and still cares, and somewhere in there he wants his grandfather to be able to see his new world come into being.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
...no, not really.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
He's had Gyarados for practically forever; he caught him as a Magikarp when he was a kid. So not counting in-game interactions...probably Gyarados. Which is saying something, given that he considers his Pokemon to be closer to business partners than friends.

In-game...probably Giovanni. They met when Giovanni rocked up to him and very casually asked Cyrus if he was a zombie. Not even an exaggeration.

6. Does he have other close friends?
Out-of-game, not really. In-game...also not really. He has a budding friendship going on with Articuno, though.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
He's pretty solitary, and when he's not being solitary, he's being abrasive. So he doesn't get on too well with others, no.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Given that he's had such brilliant experiences with his family, he would have to default to 'friends', though he...really doesn't have any.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
He's single, and has no intention of getting married - he has no problem with marriage as a practice, but he can't see himself ever getting close enough to someone else to want to marry them. He actually finds the concept of marriage to be a reasonably pleasant one, though, and he likes what it stands for - it's just not for him. At all.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
In-game, he has a really...um, tumultuous relationship with Cynthia. One that he's not even altogether sure he's in, because he's good at socializing like that.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
He doesn't really get crushes on people - he's pretty distant from them as a whole.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
Again, he doesn't really look. If he had to list something, it would probably be intelligence.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
He has no children, and he's perfectly content to keep it that way. He wants no part in shaping a kid's life, as he's pretty sure he'll turn out a sociopath or accidentally kill it or something, and he has no patience for children anyway. Kids are all little personality-devoid blobs until they turn 10 or so, then they're insufferable until they become adults, at which point he probably won't like them anyway. So...it's probably for the best that Cyrus isn't made to deal with kids often.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
...he considers the world in general to be his rival/enemy of sorts. I'm not even joking. But more directly - Cynthia is definitely a rival of his, even if they're kinda dating now, and Lucas and Dawn are pretty high on the dislike scale. And in-game, he does not get along with Archie. Do not discuss Archie in his presence. Seriously.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Cyrus is actually a 1 on the Kinsey scale - he's predominantly heterosexual, but he's not exactly a stranger to having an intellectual attraction to other men. It's never any sort of physical interest, he has no desire to date them, and he would never even consider them as some sort of romantic partner. But at the same time, some sort of attraction is there.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
He finds sex to be physically pleasant, but he doesn't really take much emotional pleasure from the act as a result of the anhedonia; as such, it's welcome, but not required, and he's perfectly fine without indulging in it - he actually prefers to not have sex most of the time, because he considers it both unnecessary and a distraction.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
He definitely appreciates women wearing miniskirts, and he likes dominating people; he's also got a good-sized sadistic streak, but he doesn't like showing it as much - the idea that he takes pleasure from the obvious pain of others scares him, in a way.

1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
Cyrus is a Capricorn; his date of birth was selected to fit type. So yes, he fits quite well.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
He's actually very spiritual; outside of the fact that his fascination with the legends pretty much led to the formation of his plans to destroy the world, he's also a rather devout follower of the restrictions and regulations set forth by the mythology of the Sinnoh region. As a result, he's a vegan - killing Pokemon of the land is forbidden, and while sea-dwelling Pokemon are fair game, he owns a Gyarados and that is just awkward. Though he allows sea-dwelling Pokemon to be taken for food in his presence, he won't consume any of it himself; he also insists that the proper rituals are carried out immediately after the creature is killed to ensure the reincarnation of the Pokemon in question. He believes in the concept of the soul, and that it's contained within the bones of the body; he also believes that humans and Pokemon were once similar creatures.

Of course, there's also the fact that he believes that he's worthy to be a deity himself, but he doesn't consider this to clash with anything else; Sinnoh mythology is polytheistic, and so he considers himself to be a god, not the only single divine being in existence - he acknowledges Dialga, Palkia, Giratina and Arceus as gods in their own right, he just happens to think that he can do better.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
He does, albeit a loose one, and that is:
+ Do not cause harm where conversion is possible.
+ Do not beat women, for that is unbelievably cheap.
+ Murder is never okay.

...yeah. Apparently removing his emotions make all of those go right out the window.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
He's pretty indifferent - he doesn't hold it against them, others can go ahead and be wrong if they want.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
He more or less hates everyone, he doesn't really single out any specific groups.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
He's incredibly financially secure.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
He's moved from middle-class in childhood to making enough money to be considered upper-class in adulthood, and this obviously made it possible for him to attempt to, er, fix things.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
He usually camps out in the Galactic Headquarters in Veilstone City, but he has private quarters when it comes to sleeping, and he has his office when it comes to work. So he's technically sharing the building with others, and it doesn't mean that he can never be interrupted or disturbed, but it's more private than one might think given that there are literally hundreds of people there.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Team Galactic, primarily - most of the profits they make go right back into furthering the goal and paying staff.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
Outwardly he's a businessman, I suppose, not to mention the leader of Team Galactic. So some sort of businessman/crime lord combination. Of course, he wants to land the ultimate gig as god, so...

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Working with machines tends to work wonders for his mental state - mechanical things have always made sense to him, completely and utterly, and either working on them directly or designing them tends to calm him down if he's feeling stressed or scattered.

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Basically, Cyrus eats because he'll die if he doesn't, and he's the sort that finds it remarkably easy to forget to eat. He tends to bland it up horrifically, as he has a major aversion to overly strong tastes and he's kind of texture-sensitive, so he's a bit picky about what he'll actually eat; he avoids overly sweet things in particular because he finds them to quite literally taste like diabetes.

Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is his favorite:

1. Color? Slate grey
2. Smell? The ocean first thing in the morning
3. Time of day? Late night/early morning
4. Season? Autumn
5. Book? Volumes on mythology
6. Music? Loud, angry things that drown out thoughts
7. Place? Veilstone
8. Substance? Ink
9. Plant? Ivy
10. Animal? Going with Pokemon, Gyarados
